Country Singer Leaves $1000 Tip for Single Mom at Waffle House

Image Newsbreak.com - no infringement intended

The Waffle House has become a staple of a variety of people’s nights, whether you’re just hanging out with your friends or family, or you’re meeting up with a group of co-workers for a late-night meeting. The restaurant chain is known for being a place where everyone feels welcome, and that extends to their customers as well. When a country singer sat down at this waffle house and saw a single mom busting her ass, he left her a generous tip of $1,000. She was working a double shift to make ends meet for her and her daughter.

The Sweet Story Behind the Tip

The country singer had been searching for a nice, welcoming place to eat when he found the Waffle House.

As stated by CBS17 a country singer who tipped Shirell “Honey” Lackey $1000 is going viral and she wishes to keep the singer anonymous. He tipped her $1000 after one of the entourage tipped her $50 and then brought the story of her back to them. The tip coming after their to-go order was placed

She was struggling to keep up with everything that was being thrown her way, but she was managing to work as hard and professionally as possible. To show appreciation for all she was doing, the singer left her a $1,000 tip and thanked her for all she does and even said that she’s going to make a difference in her daughter’s life someday.

There are many times when people will judge someone based on their financial status or their occupation, but this woman proves that you shouldn't ever judge a book by its cover because there's always more than meets the eye. It feels goo to be recognized for your hard work.

The $1,000 Tip Was Enough to Make Her Day

According to Today Lackey said

A country music star just came in the restaurant and tipped me $1,000 gave me two tickets to his next show and got my address to send the baby diapers clothes etc. (plus hugged me... twice) because I had to have her at work with me for 15 hours today

She then stated that

He came to me and said that in a society where nobody wants to work he had to respect the hustle of someone who is willing to do whatever it took no matter what to support their child and I started crying

The Power of Kindness Is Often in the Smallest of Spaces

Sometimes the power of kindness is in the smallest of spaces. A mother working hard to provide for her daughter, a man stopping by to place a to-go order, and a generous 1 thousand dollar tip. There are many moments when people feel like they are invisible or forgotten. It's easy to feel like no one cares about you when you're struggling, but there are always kind gestures from strangers that can change your day. Even if it's just someone acknowledging that you exist with a smile as they walk past you on the street.

Final Words: Always Be There for the People Around You

The Waffle House has become a staple of a variety of people’s nights, whether you’re just hanging out with your friends or family, or you’re meeting up with a group of co-workers for a late-night meeting. The restaurant chain is known for being a place where everyone feels welcome, and that extends to their customers as well. When a country singer sat down at this waffle house and saw a single mom busting her ass, he left her a generous tip of $1,000. She was working a double shift to make ends meet for her and her daughter. This story made me so emotional because it showed me the bigger picture of life. Whenever someone is feeling sad or struggling in any way, always be there for them. We should never make anyone feel rejected or unwanted. If we truly want to live in unity and love each other unconditionally then we have to support one another no matter what walk of life they come from. We are all human beings who need kindness and love in our lives.

5 Things Every Mama-To-Be Needs When Expecting Baby #1

5 Things Every Mama-To-Be Needs When Expecting Baby #1

Any day now, we’ll be welcoming the newest member of the Luckless Clothing Family! In honor of our new addition, we put together a list of things every mama-to-be needs when expecting their first bundle of joy:

Zip Up Pajamas

Ask any experienced mama, and she’ll tell you the same thing: whoever invented those baby pajamas with 1500 buttons all the way up clearly didn’t have kids. Those things are a pain in the ass, especially when you’re sleep-deprived and trying to dress a wiggly baby in the middle of the night. Zip-up pajamas are your friend.

Car Decals

You’ll never forget that first drive home from the hospital with your new itty bitty baby in the back. You will never be as aware or as careful on the road as you are for this ride. As time goes on, you’ll become a pro at shushing baby while fumbling in the back seat for a dropped bottle and changing the song to Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, all while driving carefully to storytime at the library. But, since you can never be too careful with your precious cargo, a subtle decal for your car may remind other drivers not to cut you off or drive recklessly around you. Because if they do, mama bear comes out and it won’t be pretty.

A Durable Diaper Bag

You will live out of your diaper bag for the next two years, at least. It will be filled with diapers, extra clothes, snacks, wipes, toys, and be a black hole for crumbs and coffee receipts. You need a bag that has at least a million pockets, can be wiped clean, has a durable strap, and has that handy little pocket for wipes on the side. Your diaper bag becomes a part of your everyday ensemble, so make sure you pick one you love.

A Cute Nursery

Ok, so maybe this isn’t a need-need, but it’s one of the most fun parts of planning for a new baby. There are so many different themes to choose from, and we salute all of you crafty moms out there that can take a few mason jars, some paint, twine, and an old barn door and create an adorable space for the new babe. For the not-so-crafty (or just too tired moms out there) throw a camo crib set on the crib, add a few wood accents hang a canoe paddle on the wall, and voila! You’ve got an adorable country-themed nursery.

Non-Judgemental Friends

Things change when you have a kid. You have far less time and energy to go out and do all of the things you used to do. You become that flaky friend that cancels all the time because kids always get sick when you make plans for yourself. Always. And you’ll forget to text people back because you’re too busy playing peek-a-boo or cleaning throw up out of your hair. You’ll slowly drift from some of your good friends, only because you’ll have less time and less in common. What you need are good, reliable, non-judgemental, no-drama friends that will just show up. Even to watch the kid while you shower. Or babysit.

Or let you vent.

Or sit through a slideshow of 324 pictures of your baby eating avocado for the first time.

Having a baby changes you, which is why it is so important to have friends that embrace this change, love your babe like their own, and show up without expectations.

Having a baby is exciting, life-changing, terrifying, and oh-so-wonderful. You’ll never be fully prepared, but with zip-up jammies, a fun car detail, a durable diaper bag, cute nursery, and good friends, you’ll be close. Kind of.

These NSFW Christmas Decorations Are Sure To Make Your Granny Blush

Kids go crazy for the semi-creepy elf that seems to magically appear after Thanksgiving and moves around the house each night. But sometimes the Elf of the Shelf can get himself into a little bit of trouble.

Like when he poops in your favorite holiday candle:

Or when he lets a few hot Barbies influence him to make bad decisions.

When it comes to decorating the outside of your home for Christmas, there are many ways to make your home uniquely you. There are also a few ways that are sure to cause the neighbors to leave a strongly worded note on your front door. Like this one:

And this one too.

Decorating the Christmas tree is always a signature part of getting ready for the holidays. It’s always fun to combine classic family heirlooms with modern decorations to create a beautiful tree that reflects your past, present, and future. This year, sneak a few R-rated ornaments onto your tree to spice things up a bit.

Like this jolly Santa ornament with perfectly placed Santa hat.

And the only appropriate attire for Christmas decorating is an adult-themed ugly sweater, right?
